uJDM programmer is a simple PIC programmer available. This circuit is actually designed by Jens Dyekjær Madsen. It uses minimum number of components which are easily available in the market. To operate this circuit you need RS232 port in your PC. No external power supply is needed. Windows (XP/7) user can use IC-Prog software for burning. This software is available here.
Software settings
Connect the circuit to serial port. Open IC-prog, in Hardware settings select JDM programmer as programmer and Windows API as interface. Also select appropriate COM port for operation. After setting this you can star programming using IC-Prog. Before that you can test your circuit using Hardware check option in IC-Prog. Select hardware check and click on the 'Enable Clock'. This will allow the LED to be turned On or Off. If this does not work check that there are no shorts on the board.
For burning the IC , Upload the hex file using file>>open and click on the burn button.
